  • POEM: Rain Doesn'T Fall From The Ocean by Analogous to Tower 7 Ameaning (10/24/2016 4:32:00 PM)

Only a simpleton assumes credit for true poetry. If a poet's mind is grand enough to make their poetry, then they are not making poetry; just trying to validate meaninglessness with hallow whimpering. Take credit for your own poetry don't ascribe credit to mine. I live it, not create it; it forms me far more than I design it. But thanks for you personal life's experiential insight.

  • POEM: What Is Poetry? by Robert Murray Smith (10/23/2016 4:05:00 PM)

I must contest. Understanding is but a shadow of poetry. It is from universal feeling that the shadow is cast. Like when I read Wordsworth, I can't understand his alien recollection of a childhood that practically terrifies me, but I can feel what I would have wanted to feel if I had been so subjected to the experience he called life. Therefore no poem means anything, thus can never be understood, not even by its creator (as we see ourselves to be) . If poetry is the universal allegory for life, then I can feel this poem within myself. If poetry is just a tool, or device, of communication then all this poem is, is true. And to plagiarize a theme from, of all sources, the Disney cartoon, Milan (my personal favorite): it's never too late for a flower to bloom. I enjoyed my lil walk through your world, it is jagged, but most magnificent, indeed.

  • POEM: British Bank Holiday by Peter Elven Edwards (9/4/2016 3:34:00 PM)

I just wrote a poem about the British & submitted it today too. Its probably of a different thread than yours, but echoes a single truth about you [British]; you are psychologically united.
