The poetess Hanane Aad was born in Lebanon in 1965. She studied journalism and communication at the University in Beirut and Paris.
She began her career as a writer and presenter of political information on Free Lebanon Radio. Between 1996-1998 she worked as writer and presenter of political information for Voice of Lebanon Radio.
Between 1995 and 2005 Aad worked as a journalist and literary critic for the Lebanese daily newspaper Al-Nahar, where she carried out a famous series of interviews with French-speaking personalities.
