  • POEM: Phenomenal Woman by Maya Angelou (4/20/2005 2:27:00 PM)

I love this poem, one of the few I have committed to memory and love to recite. When I read this poem it feels like a personal statement, attitude and all. It is one of the most amazing and best poems I have ever read.

  • POEM: The Way To Love by Raquel JeanJoseph (2/2/2005 1:01:00 PM)

Believe it or not, this type of love exist, it is there. But to be loved in this way, one must learn to love this way, also. To love without restriction, to love without jealousy, to love unconditionally, faults and all. To allow the object of your love to be himself (or herself, as the case may be) , to reveal his true self, even the things he hides in the dark places of his mind, without fear of criticism, or being made to feel 'freakish' or shamed. Only then can you experience truth and freedom in love. It is the best thing - ever.

  • POEM: Days by Ralph Waldo Emerson (12/30/2004 11:54:00 AM)

I love this piece, the way he illustrates the days 'daughters of time...marching single in an endless file...' the gifts each day brings '...Bread, kingdom, stars, and sky that holds them all.' and finally the scorn of the wasted/neglected day, and gifts not realized 'hastily took a few herbs and apples...'. Days is a truly awesome piece.
