Ah! I love this poem. When I first started reading the force of the action in this poem caught me...I am not sure if that makes sense... BUT It is a very 'forceful' poem that held me in thrall tell the last sentence, 'He's lost, never to be found.'
your poem has an interesting sense of 'movement' conveyed throughout it. I like the part 'actions are more like growing fingernails' <-I am just not sure what you meant by that. Is it because a fingernail grows straight out and then starts to turn in ward?
